About Us

The Seneca High School Choral program has a strong tradition of excellence in many facets of musical experiences. Students take pride in presenting outstanding performances while focusing on detail, hard work ethics and cooperating as an ensemble.

All students are required to learn note reading through countsinging, Kodaly and solfege knowledge. Students also have an opportunity to learn musical skills in the computer lab on various music theory software that emphasizes listening, reading and dictation skills. Much emphasis is placed on solo singing with many opportunities to receive vocal coaching and private lessons.

Seneca High School is fortunate to have tremendous community support and excellent parental involvement. The choral program is no exception. The choirs are sponsored by local and national funding, which includes school district funding and private and public donations.

Our goal as a choral program is to gain musical knowledge, express our knowledge through music and enjoy sharing it with others. Students are eager to perform at numerous events throughout the year and are often heard singing the National Anthem prior to Seneca High School football, basketball, soccer, baseball or softball events. All choirs are auditioned, and students feel pride in being an integral part of a choir.
